Acrylic on Canvas
91cm x 91cm x 3cm
A contemplative synaesthesia‑inspired abstract painting translating Bach’s St Matthew Passion into colour, movement, and spiritual form.
In Choral: Erkenne mich, mein Hüter from St Matthew Passion by Johann Sebastian Bach, I return to one of the most formative musical experiences of my childhood. This chorale has lived within me for as long as I can remember. Its quiet plea, its humility and surrender, have always resonated as something both deeply personal and profoundly universal. Through synaesthesia, I do not simply hear this music, I see and feel it as colour, movement, and spatial form.
