First Light is a synaesthetic translation of Lana Del Rey’s luminous, cinematic track of the same name. Through my music‑driven process, the song unfolds into vertical colour fields, rising tonal gradients, and soft, glowing transitions that echo the emotional lift of the music.
The painting captures the moment where darkness thins and colour begins to bloom, a quiet ascent, a breath, a shift toward warmth. The track’s emotional aspect becomes visual: gentle pulses appear as vertical streaks; harmonic warmth becomes soft pinks and violets; the song’s spaciousness emerges as atmospheric turquoise and deep blue.
Part of my ongoing SOUNDBYTE series, this work continues my exploration of how contemporary music becomes colour, movement, and emotional temperature.
